Due to the uniqueness of the Loveprints concept and designs, we have compiled a summary of some of the frequently asked questions we have encountered.

Child vs. Adult Prints
Infants and children do not develop deep finger print impressions until later in life, so adult prints will show more grain in the actual print. Children's prints are impressions of the finger size and shape, capturing and preserving a childhood moment in time. Adult prints will look more like a finger print while children and infants will be an impression. Some people may want to take imprints of the same child over and over as the years pass and include them all on one bracelet. Others will want to include one imprint of each family member at the same time. Whatever it may be, each print will be unique depending on the age of the child or adult. The photo pictured below depicts the difference between an adult and an infant/child print.

Variation in Size and Print
There will also be a variation in the size of each print depending on the size of the finger and the pressure that is applied when the actual imprint is taken. The above picture depicts an illustration of this. These imprints were made from the same amount of imprint clay. They vary in size when finished due to the amount of pressure applied when the imprint was taken and the difference in size of the finger used for the impression.

Size of the Finished Print
The size of the finished print will be about 2/3 the size of the actual imprint clay. There is a little shrinkage that occurs in the finishing and design process.

Sterling Silver
The finished impression is the highest quality sterling silver available (.999 sterling silver).

Engraving
One of the unique features of Loveprints is that you can wear it with either the engraved side or the imprint side showing. Each Loveprint is engraved on the back with a monogram, initials, date of birth, anniversary, or an item of your choice (up to 5 characters). The possibilities are endless!

Artistic Design
Each Loveprint is a freeform sterling silver nugget and the shape may vary depending on the imprint.
